Happy November

Hi everyone
Can you believe it's the beginning of November already! Time to switch to holiday gear.

I'm getting ready to have my Shopping Extravaganza" on Nov 14th. I'm selling some cards and mini-albums, of course some Pampered Chef stuff, candy arrangements and a friend is bringing her hand made jewelry to sell. It should be a lot of fun!

Tomorrow evening I'm going to teach a friends Girl Scout troop to make Thanksgiving cards. It should be a good time.

I just got back from having an early dinner with my Dad who is heading back to Florida tomorrow. I will miss him. Hopefully I can get down there sfter the holidays.

Have a great week.

Vacation is winding down

Hi Everyone
Our vacation in Myrtle Beach is just about over. We had such a great time with my BFF and her hubby. The guys did some golfing while we shopped and crafted. We found a cute little stamp and scrapbook shop in Pawleys Island. She had some of the most up to date supplies and some really cool stuff in her shop. I think it was called Scrapping by the Sea. If you get down this way you should take a stop by.

We went to see the show at Carolina Opry...a must see.

I will be posting some of the cards we made while we were there.

Have a great day!

Getting ready for Myrtle Beach

Hi Everyone,
I'm busy getting ready to go to Myrtle Beach this weekend for the week. So hopefully we will get some beach and pool time while the guys go golfing. Oh, did I mention my BFF and her hubby are driving up to meet us there.

She is leaving a few days early and taking a class on copic markers on Friday while on her way up. How cool is that. Then she can reach me! Lol.

I have to start tonight packing some craft stuff to work on while we are there. I hope to get some Christmas cards made and maybe a few little albums. We'll see. My BFF usually keeps me going to get alot done, so I can't wait.

Walk for Autism

Hi Everyone,
Well Saturday was a great day. We participated for the Walk for Autism speaks in Philly. After a few rainy days, Saturday was beautiful, a little cool in the morning and warmed up nicely. There were so many people that walked. It was very heartwarming to see such support. And to have support from our families and friends.

Have a great week!

Catching up

Hi everyone,
Its been a busy few weeks. This Saturday, I along with my family will be participating in the Walk for Autism. It is being held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. It is such a great event. There are so many families and supporters of Autism Speaks. I'm the captain of Drews Crew, named for my 10 year old Grandson Andrew. The weather is supposed to be cooler, the rain is due to start here tonight and continue through part of Friday.

I posted some new and old cards I have made. I hope you like them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Friday

Hi Everyone,
What a beautiful day in NJ, it's perfect weather today.

Today I posted a few new cards. I have to give a shoutout to my BFF Ginny, since I scraplifted her design for the golf card, but it was just too cute not to.

The next card is for MDB for his forty-something birthday. I got a little inspiration from watching Tim Holtz from Ranger on HSN the other day. He really simplifies everything.

I also enjoyed watching the info on the Cricut "Imagine". What a piece of machinery! Although I won't be getting one for a while, I think its really awesome. I love how on HSN you feel like you just can't pass up anything (even though I did).

Have a great weekend!
Happy Crafting!

I love watchng tutorials!!

Hi everyone,
I just finished watching a good video on Stamp TV. I have never worked with copic markers so I found it interesting to see how they work. Gina (of Gina K Designs) did a great job explaining how to shade with them. Although I don't have the markers yet, I may think about it. I usually use watercolor pencils or regular colored pencils.

Yesterday I watched the Pink Stamper video of her new Cricut Imagine..it's very cool! I won't be getting one anytime soon, mostly due to the cost factor. I also got an invite to join the Cricut Circle, that isn't happening either. It's just too expensive. I'm sure it will be informative and really cool to get special carts, I just can't justify it (yet).

Well had a busy day today and I start back with my bowling league tomorrow morning.

Thanks for visiting!

Good Bye Earl

Hi everyone!
I'm happy to report hurricane Earl passed the Jersey shore earlier without much damage to anything.

As you can see I uploaded a few more cards I made, I hope you like them. I often just sit and stare at the paper not having a clue what to do. I think I'm going to just jump in and create, well not so much.

I have a family reunion of sorts tomorrow in Easton, Pa. I made a new Pampered Chef recipe, with Nilla Wafers, raspberries, raspberry jam, vanilla pudding, cool whip and chocolate morsels. It is really delish!

I hope to get some more crafting done on Sunday, but we'll see how it goes.

Have a great weekend.

Back from vacation

Well, we got back yesterday from vacation at the Jersey shore (no, it's nothing like the reality show!). Ocean City NJ is a great family vacation spot. We had such a great time with our Grandsons.

I really wanted to go to a local bead shop there, but I just didn't get a chance. Maybe another time.

I really want to try to get some cards and small scrapbooks made so I can have a little sale this fall. I have a friend that makes jewelry she can bring her stuff and of course I'll include some Pampered Chef cash & carry.

I love checking out all the different blogs to get new ideas. I'm pretty good with my Cricut and I'm starting to get the hang of my Cuttlebug (you know, which plates do I need with what?). But it's fun learning.

Have a great day

Having fun with my family

Hi everyone,
Having a great time with my family in Ocean City NJ. Weather so far has been great. Tomorrow is my Grandsons 10th birthday.

Made some Christmas cards today from a kit I bought after the holiday last year from Michaels. I figure if I can't sell them I can always use them. I just need to add some bling or glitter to them. I hope to make some other cards while Im here.

Be sure to check out my BFF's blog at elegantcardsbyginny,blogspot.com You will see some of her beautiful cards she made.

Have a great day.

Going to CKC-Valley Forge

Hi Everyone,
We had a great time at CKC..lots of great vendors and new products. We went up the day before and volunteered for 4 hours and received 2 days admission, $30 off CKC store and 50% off a T shirt. It was worth it and everyone was so stinkin nice!

My BFF (Ginny) and I have done some crafting while she's been visiting, but time is going quickly. Hopefully we'll get some more time to craft before she leaves to go back to Fla.
Have a great day.

Off to volunteer

Hi Everyone.
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had a dentist appointment in the morning (yuk) and had to get ready in the afternoon for a fundraising event last night. For the past 3 years we have had a ice cream fundraiser for our Autism Speaks walk team "Drews Crew". My 10 year old grandson was diagnosed at 18 mos old with Autism. So we started walking and fundraising in 2003. I am truly amazed at the generosity in people especially in these hard times.

Well me and my BFF are headed out today to volunteer at CKC-Valley Forge to help with set up. We get free admission for helping. Not that we are trying to get a sneek peek at anything...lol...plus we get a Creating Keepsakes $30 gift certificate, so we figure wht not?

I hope to get back on later to tekk you about it. Have a crafty day!

I finally did it!

I have pondered it, talked myself in and out of it a thousand times. But tonight I just couldn't resist it any longer...I bought a Cuttlebug. I have been using a original Sizzix die cutter, but of course you can't use the Nestibilities and such with that, so I had to get one. Luckily I got it 40% off at Michael's. Now that they are coming out with embossing /cut folders, I needed to upgrade. So all I need now id time to play!!!

Have a great day.

She's here!!!

Hi Everyone,
Happy Sunday! Here in my little part of S Jersey it was extremely hot most of the day. Then in came the thunderstorms and it did cool it off a bit.

My BFF Ginny arrived this afternoon from Fla..although traffic and storms held them up a bit. I can't wait to do some cards and crafts with her. She is always up on the latest and greatest techniques. I even cleaned my craft corner up so she has room to work too!

I have a little corner of the basement that I hope to one day fix up. Our second bedroom is occupied by my elderly Aunt who we take care of, and my third bedroom is for when my Grandsons sleep over or we have company. So, hence the basement setting.

I have to say I think I spend more time looking at other blogs and websites for ideas I don't get a whole lot made. I usually try do make a couple of the same thing, so I have one to keep and one to give away.

I hope to download some of my cards very soon and share some of Ginny's projects too.

Stamp away!

Getting excited..

My BFF is arriving tomorrow for 2 weeks with her husband...I cant wait to see her. Ginny and I have been friends forever, we were neighbors and I moved one town over, she moved to FLORIDA!! Lucky for me she lives about 5 miles from my Dad, so when I go to visit it's a double pleasure.

We are planning to go to CKC on Thursday in Valley Forge,Pa. I signed us up to volunteer on Wednesday (gives us a heads up on what we want to see!!!)we get 2 free tickets each for it. We can't wait to see some of the new crafting toys they are showing. You can never have enough craft toys.Ginny is looking for new Christmas and Holiday stamps for her collection. Me,I'm just looking for anything fun and new.

I'm an ok crafter, I have to look through books and magazines for my ideas.I enjoy scrapping and making cards. Ginny, however, is very artistic and can visualize in her mind. her cards are quite beautiful and unique. She does teach calsses at a scrapbook store near her.
