Hi Everyone,
Well so much has happened since I last blogged. My visit to Florida in March was great. I had a ball with my BFF Ginny and her friends doing the "treasure hunt". I got a ton of cool treasures from each of the scrapping stores we visited. I bought some stamps, a cool Spellbinders nestibilities set, some Pro Markers ( which I love, love, love!), some Tim Holtz items and lots of other cool "stuff". My Dad did well with his surgery and after 24 days (according to my daughter, but who's counting) I came back to New Jersey with the hubster and our yorkie Maxie.

Then I had to return to Florida unexpectedly, my Dad needed surgery to repair his first surgery and thats when things went bad. He did not make it past the second surgery. I miss him terribly. He had made so many friends in the fourteen years he lived in Florida which was a great testiment to what a great person he was. I was entrusted by him to take care of his teacup yorkie "Pixie". So we travelled back to New Jersey together.

Just when I started to begin my healing process my beloved Maxie became ill and we needed to put her to rest the day after Mothers Day. She was such a bright spot in our life. She was my husbands couch companion, made many trips to Florida with us and the best Valentines present ever. She will be forever missed.

We did have the pleasure of my Grandsons First Holy Communion. He was so handsome and did a great job. I am going to upload a photo of the card I made for him.

I am hoping to get back into crafting mode and have some new things to post soon.

Best Regards
Karen

Back in Fla

Hi Everyone,
Here I am back in Fla. Here because my Dad had surgery and is doing fine. Thank goodness.

Also get to spend time with my BFF Ginny.

Tomorrow we are starting our "treasure hunt" which consists of visiting nine different stamping stores in the area (from Spring Hill to Lakeland to Palm Harbor and in between). We are also going to be stopping at Sprinkle & Sparkle along the way. We have two weeks to visit these stores. You buy a passbook for $10 that is stamped at each store and turned in for a chance to win $900 worth of products ($100 each store). You commit to spending at least $5 at each store. Each store has a photo op to pose for a small scrapbook you receive in your packet. I will try to post photos along the way.

I also get to get some tricks and fun ideas from Ginny. She takes classes and also teaches classes in cardmaking to a few groups down here as well as at Scraporium in Lutz, Fla.

Happy Crafting to all.
